14 June, Day 1: Arrival to Dortmund
Arrival in Dortmund. Meet & greet at the airport, private transfer to your hotel and check-in. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Known as Westphalia’s green metropolis, this thriving city in western Germany is similarly renowned for its fine breweries and fashionable soccer club. Located in North Rhine-Westphalia, Dortmund is one of the largest cities in the region, one of the oldest cities in the west of the country and one of the best known, and best loved, cities in Germany
15 June, Day 2: Dortmund - 1st Game, Italy vs Albania, 21:00
Spend the day at your leisure in the city. In the evening, Enjoy the first game at Signal Iduna Park. A group two-way transfer is provided (5-star package). After the match, relax and celebrate your favorite team's victory with other fellow travelers or on your own, plunge into the sporty and festive atmosphere of a large scale soccer competition. Overnight at the hotel.
16 June, Day 3: Dortmund - City Tour & German Football Museum (5-star package)
This day will be devoted to new discoveries as you set off on a fascinating tour of Dortmund. In Dortmund, we will visit a place not to be missed by any soccer fan, the German National Football Museum, a world of experience and a cultural place of the past, present and future of football. Opened in 2015, the Dortmund city centre building is one of the most visited museums in the Ruhr area. The vibrant, emotional and interactive exhibition recounts 140 years of German football history over 3,300 m² of floor space.
17 June, Day 4: Dortmund at Leisure
Optional tour: Mercedes Benz Museum. The name which speaks for itself better that we possibly could. Explore over 130 years of history. See with your own eyes more than 160 vehicles which range from some of the oldest automobiles in the world to bespoke racing cars and prototypes which foresees the future of the industry.
18 June, Day 5: Dortmund - Gelsenkirchen / Essen
After breakfast, take your transfer to the train station to go to Gelsenkirchen. Upon arrival, take a transfer to your hotel in Essen (transfers to/from the train station are included in 5-star package). Afternoon is free for leisure.
19 June, Day 6: Discover Gelsenkirchen (5-star package)
Gelsenkirchen's history starts in 1150, but it remained a tiny village until the 19th century when the Industrial Revolution led to the growth of the entire area. In the early 20th century, Gelsenkirchen was called the “city of a thousand fires” for the flames of mine gasses flaring at night time. On this tour, you will visit one of the most important Renaissance castles of the North West region. Admire the Consol theatre, a theatre located on a former coal mine. See the Music Theater, planned, designed, and built by the Englishman Robert Adams, the two Germans Norbert Kricke and Paul Dierkes, the Swiss Jean Tinguely, and the French Yves Klein. Visit the artist's village Halfmanshof, a residential and working artistic community in 1931, which became a hub for famous artists in the 60s and 70s.All attraction entrances are to be paid on the spot by travelers since attractions are not mandatory
20 June, Day 7: Gelsenkirchen - 2nd Game, Italy vs Spain, 21:00
A new day, new experiences, a new group stage game! After breakfast, you can take a walk through the center of Munich on your own and enjoy its cozy streets and green houses. But don't forget, there's a big event in the evening! From your hotel, you will be driven to the Munich Football Arena, one of the best stadiums in Germany (5-star package). Watch the second game of your team at 2024 Euro. Renowned for its beer-drinking culture and relaxed vibe, this city is an incredible place for the afterparty too!
21 June, Day 8: Gelsenkirchen - Leipzig
After breakfast, take your transfer to the train station to go to Leipzig. Arrival to Leipzig, transfer to your hotel (transfers to/from the train station are included in 5-star package). Afternoon is free for leisure.
22 June, Day 9: Discover Leipzig (5-star package)
Discover many of Leipzig’s most important attractions and glimpse sights like the Gohlis Palace, Monument to the Battle of the Nations, and Schiller House. Next, get up close and personal to attractions like the Leipzig Opera, St. Nicholas Church, and Old Town Hall when you explore on foot
23 June, Day 10: Leipzig at Leisure
Spend a day at leisure in Leipzig and visit some of its numerous attractions which appeal to you most. In addition to the many unique sights, Leipzig and its surrounding region offer plenty of unforgettable adventures
24 June, Day 11: Leipzig - 3rd Game, Italy vs Croatia, 21:00
Our tour crowns the third game of the group stage of 2024 Euro. The soccer history of the planet is being written before your eyes. The Leipzig Stadium is a modern stadium with a capacity of around 42,000 people. After the game, celebrate with your fellow travelers and explore the best bars in the best beer country in the world.
25 June, Day 12: Departure From Leipzig
After breakfast, transfer a private to the airport. We look forward to seeing you again and preparing new adventures for you! Or why not extend your stay in Europe with so many amazing summer destinations within a 2-hour flight? French Riviera, Switzerland, Italy, Spain...or any other location of your choice.

A football tour with so much more I have just completed a great tour with World of Discoveries in Germany and Austria. The main aim of the trip was for my husband to watch Scotland play in the Euros football championship. However, this trip was about so much more than just the football. Of course, the WOFDI team organized great hotels and tickets for Bill to join the crazy Tartan Army and watch its team in Munich, Cologne and Stuttgart. But, the highlights for me were visits to mad King Ludwig’s fairytale castle Neuschwanstein in Bavaria; the James Bond Elements museum, perched 3000m high up in the Austrian Alps; a stay at the incredible Aqua Dome resort in the Austrian Tyrol; and a superb wine tasting evening with a great group of travelers at Schloss Lieser hotel on the Moselle River. World Cup experience (A+) It is great when companies do exactly what you paid for. Host Anna, was amazing at answering all questions and posting in the WhatsApp groups the timings and what to expect in each of the stages of the trip.
